Regional HRBP Role Summary
Based at our Amarillo Texas facility, the HR Generalist will report to the Global HR Director, with a dotted line to East Coast VP of Operations. Working closely with the operations teams, the HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting all HR activities at both our Amarillo and Forth Worth paint facilities, including staffing, talent development, compensation, employee relations and DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol compliance. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting any new/additional East Coast facilities as and when acquired. The HR Generalist will act as a consultant and provide HR support and guidance to management on human resources and employee relations matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conducts timely, effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, communication, engagement, employee development, increase performance/productivity and retention.
- Keeps up to date with federal and state labor laws/regulations and human resource management practices.
- Provides guidance in relation to Federal and Texas State labor laws / regulation and Company policy. Educates and keeps the Company and local managers informed of Federal and Texas State labor laws / regulations.
- Supports global programs including talent development and succession planning.
- Advocates employee wellbeing, and a culture that embraces and supports diversity inclusion and equality in line with our Company values.
- Attends meetings as required/requested.
- Design, delivery, evaluation and monitoring of training programs and support employee growth and development.
- Act as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) of a DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing program.
- Collaborates with payroll in relation to the administration of payroll and employee benefits. Ensures effective communication of payroll matters and benefits programs to employees.
- Conducts exit interviews and provides recommendations based on data to boost retention or make necessary recommendations to better the organization.
- Oversees and supports staffing activities, pre-hire/onboarding, and onboarding of new hires.
- Ensures all people metrics are accurately tracked.
- Generates HR related reports e.g., benefits, costs, staffing, turnover, absenteeism, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, progression/promotions, etc.
- Oversee and organize employee related events.
- Any other duties or projects associated with or human resources.

- Good experience and knowledge of HRIS, ATS, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, working knowledge of PayCom would be an advantage.
- Travel is a requirement of the job.
Education & Experience
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in HR or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years’ HR generalist experience.
- Must be SHRM certified.
- In-depth knowledge of Federal and Texas State labor laws / regulations.
- Experience of DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing program would be a distinct advantage.
- Working knowledge of EEO, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, ERISA, and all other applicable laws.
- Experience in all aspects of HR including staffing, talent development, compensation, employee relations, engagement etc.
- Experience in aerospace would be an advantage.
